Kiki and the Dancing Paint

Kiki the Cyber Squirrel is the mascot I designed for Krita, a free and open source digital painting application. This is the splash art I created for Krita 3.0.1, and it was used until version 3.3.

At the time, I was learning composition and color composition. I experimented what I learned so far on this splash. I contrast the shinny, sharp character and the paint with the dark and vague background, to create a strong visual impact.
