Connections between Electric Hearts and Spirit Animals in Disguise

My two original projects: Electric Hearts and Spirit Animals in Disguise share the same universe. In this post, I explained their connections and differences.

How Electric Hearts Treats Contents from Spirit Animals in Disguise

Electric Hearts tells the story from Alice’s perspective.

In Electric Hearts, Alice sometimes encounters oddities like “classmates turning into animal people”, “a mink and a rat repairing machineries”, “a talking goat”, etc. However, Electric Hearts as a project treats them as mere glitches in Alice’s visual system, that “supernatural power” does not exist in the project’s scope.

Alice draws pictures of her “visual glitches” and marked the names of the corresponding people in her bug reports. Robots in Evernight Era find out those drawings and names, and they model and name themselves after those. They are completely unrelated to the characters Alice knows in Sunset Era.

Leiting shows no characteristics as a protagonist in Electric Hearts. She is depicted as “a strange classmate” of Alice, and a nuisance because of her tendency to mess things up.

How Spirit Animals in Disguise Treats Contents from Electric Hearts

Spirit Animals in Disguise tells the story from Leiting’s perspective.

In Spirit Animals in Disguise, the spirit power is interpreted as a natural phenomenon with its own rules, just not yet discovered by human science.

Spirit Animals in Disguise as a project stays in a vague time frame of “today”. The time periods of Sunset Era and Evernight Era in Electric Hearts are out of the project’s scope.

Alice shows no characteristics as a protagonist in Spirit Animals in Disguise. She is depicted as “the robot classmate” of Leiting, and a nuisance for the spirit animals to look out because their power doesn’t work on her.
