Karma is a mysterious force that relates to the cause and effect among interconnected things. The stronger the karma between them, the more they can influence each other, potentially leading to extraordinary phenomena.

The nature of karma remains unclear, often described as “the force of cause and effect,” “the mysterious connections,” “the will of the times,” or “the will of heaven.”
Karma affects all aspects of life, especially spirit power, thus having a greater impact on spirit animals than on humans. The motivation behind actions significantly influences karmic effects. Karma is tied to the causal relationships between entities; stronger connections lead to more pronounced interference. It not only directly impacts related entities but also indirectly affects others through their connections.
Spirit animals often link unexplainable events to karma, leading to a moral system based on this idea. Karma is typically understood as the principle that actions against natural law (like harming another’s stability) increase the risk of suffering consequences. In contrast, acting in harmony with natural law (such as supporting another’s stability) enhances the likelihood of receiving blessings.
Example
Leiting inherited her spirit power from Feng the Spirit Loong of the Old Stone Age. Feng might have contributed something significant in the past, allowing Leiting to easily assert influence over things in China, such as making certain artifacts “come alive” during her museum visits. If she uses her spirit power for good and in harmony with nature, karma will boost her power; however, if used selfishly, karma will not favor her and may lead to instant retribution instead.
