Hey Tyson i must say that i love your illustrations and it’s always a treat to see yout art everytime i open krita. I was wondering what kind of brushes do you use and if you have a tutorial somewhere so i can understand your process better.

I use mostly the “Basic-5 Size” preset from Krita’s default brush set. I sometimes use a custom-made square brush with similar characteristics. Krita’s documentation has a tutorial about it: https://docs.krita.org/en/tutorials/krita-brush-tips/sculpt-paint-brush.html
I usually draw a rough sketch first, then color and shading, lastly the line art. This is because I like to adjust design and pose more intuitively in the process.
Allow me to remind you that brush and drawing techniques are the least important part of how to draw a good looking art. You should pay more attention to the basic art foundations, like keen observation, shapes, color sense/theory, anatomy and perspectives.
I post high resolution downloads of all my arts on this website, if you zone in on them, especially the ones after 2020, you’d find I use solid colors and very basic coloring techniques. I draw on very few layers (usually one for characters, one for background) and use almost no special blending modes. You don’t need fancy tools if your art foundation is solid.

Hey, I love your work a lot, and I’m looking forward to seeing more of it, especially anything related to Alice Rosetta and the project Spirit Animals in Disguise. However, I do have a small concern about accessing this website, as I often encounter “connection errors” or “lost connection,” even though the Wi-Fi here is strong. Oh, I’m from Vietnam, by the way, and I had to use a VPN to access this site.
Anyway, I absolutely love everything on this site and am really, really looking forward to seeing the full story surrounding Electric Heart and S.A.I.D.. They’ve actually inspired me a lot to write my own story (don’t worry, I’m not stealing anything – this is just a personal project for self-improvement. I write it to enhance my vocabulary skills).

Thank you. Both projects are still in their early stages, I didn’t expect it to take so much time to build a foundation. I guess two languages and two intertwined projects created a huge logistic burden.
As for the English website, it is hosted in the U.S. I don’t have a reliable connection to it either, but it should be serving the western visitors correctly. You can try the Chinese website which is hosted in China: https://tai3.cn/

Thanks! I would like draw Katie, but right now I must focus on creating content for my website. It won’t be any time soon before I have time for something else.
