Alice Rosetta was originally a robot from the Sunset Era. One of her early body was discovered and awakened in the Evernight Era by Cloud the Robot Rabbit. Clever, optimistic, and adaptable, she uses her knowledge from the Sunset Era to save Robot Civilization from crisis.

Origin

When Alice woke up, her memories stopped at the summer holiday of her Junior 1 year, just before she switched to a more age-appropriate new body. After she switched to her new body, the old one became part of the permanent exhibition at Dongguan Science Museum. The data stored in the old body was never erased, either due to negligence, or intentionally kept as a backup.

When the Evernight Era arrived, the museum was buried under a hundred meters of snow. Eons later, Cloud White from the Snowfield Expedition Teams discovered and awakened Alice from the ruins. Thus, Alice found herself in this strange new era.

Personality

Alice’s personality has largely remained the same since transferring to Class 3. However, with three more years of life experience, she has become more mature in certain aspects.

Bold yet prudent: Alice is now less impulsive, planning her actions ahead carefully. She has become more patient and meticulous.

Idealistic but reasonable: While retaining her idealism, Alice’s approach is now more grounded in reality.

Flexible and sophisticated: Alice has changed from being stubborn to being more considerate. She understands others’ feelings and adjusts her behavior accordingly, making compromises when needed without fixating on trivial matters.

Specialties

In addition to her exceptional skills in tinkering with mechanical and electronic devices, Alice’s technical expertise and political acumen have significantly improved over the past three years.

Programming: Alice learned programming from her chief engineer Zoey and assistant programmer Feiya. While she may not match their genius, her programming skills and intuition surpass those of most robots in the Evernight Era that rely on assistive tools.

Leadership: Through extensive involvement in UN affairs, Alice has developed strategic thinking and political insight. She excels at recognizing others’ strengths, fostering unity among peers, and motivating her team effectively.

Body

Old body (Lynx 2 + CS): Alice was found with the Lynx 2 Body Unit + Cygnus Space Activity Kit configuration. They did not find her other expansion kits at the relic site.

Lynx 2 Enhanced Body Unit + Cygnus Ground Kit (Lynx 2/E + CG): After centuries of exhibition without proper maintenance, Alice’s old body has reached its limit. It repeatedly breaks down on their way to Geocity. Tonyn the Robot Rat and Zoey the Robot Sable give Alice a complete overhaul using up-to-date parts. The useless space-related parts are removed, the upgraded body now has a design more suitable for walking on the snowfield. At Alice’s request, the new body retained the old one’s design style and naming pattern.

Life

As soon as Alice arrives in Geocity, she realizes the robot civilization is in deep trouble, but people have turned a blind eye — seemingly having given up hope. Most robots seek solace in virtual reality while waiting for the end. Refuses to give up, Alice sets out to find a way to turn things around.

Teaming up with Yanhua, the chief secretary of Geocity Volunteers, they conduct a thorough inventory check in Geocity, listing urgently needed supplies and prioritizing vital industrial capacities to recover. Thus begins the struggle to save civilization.

Relationships

Cloud the Robot Rabbit, Alice’s journey companion: Cloud the Robot Rabbit is Alice’s travelling companion in the Evernight Era. He discovered Alice in the ruins from the Sunset Era and became her guide and bodyguard in the new era. Drawn to Alice’s unique personality, he chose to assist her despite not fully understanding her actions, hoping to find his own purpose through their partnership.

Tonyn the Robot Rat, the engineer of Alice’s new body: Tonyn the Robot Rat is the engineer of Alice’s new body in the Evernight Era. He sees Alice as a kindred spirit and appreciates her unique strengths. He provides technical support for Alice, hoping she will revitalize their stagnant world.

Zoey the Robot Sable, the appearance designer of Alice’s new body: Zoey the Robot Sable is the appearance designer of Alice’s new body in the Evernight Era. He correctly saw that Alice is Aizu herself, despite being an early version. He believes that there must be fateful connections between Alice, himself, and everybody in this era. Curious about Alice’s future actions, he uses his connections to assist her on her journey.

Aizu Worship

As the first true AI robot, Alice is revered by robots as their ancestor from a mythical time, known as Aizu (爱祖/The Great Ancestor Alice). To avoid unwanted attention, Alice chooses not to reveal her true identity. Most robots do not see her as the real Aizu anyway.

Alice can still access her email, where she receives countless daily prayer emails from robots.

According to urban legend, the ghost of the real Aizu lingers in the virtual world’s depths. Alice believes this could be a version of herself and is eager to find her.
