Feiya (full name: Su Feiya, Chinese: 苏飞亚 “Sophia”) is Alice’s primary school classmate in the Sunset Era. She serves as the IT representative for Class 3 of Grade 5 at Zhizheng Primary School. She is also Alice’s assistant programmer.

Personality

Feiya is a quiet and imaginative child who often laughs at her own funny thoughts. She can maintain a strong focus on her tasks and is not easily distracted.

Although it seems that Alice is leading and Feiya is following, in reality, Feiya often proposes bolder and more interesting ideas and encourages her to carry them out.

Specialties

Feiya has shown talent in programming but lacks experience, resulting in quirky bugs that need fixing as she runs her programs.

To work on the go, Feiya carries a 10-inch portable laptop with her.

Life

Alice ran into a few bugs in her system after transferring to Class 3. Feiya quickly resolved some of these issues, impressing Zoey, Alice’s main engineer, who invited her to be a “petit programmer” to develop Alice’s programs.

Feiya is currently the Information Technology Representative of Class 3. She is collaborating with Qiqi the Art Representative and Lanxi the Music Representative to develop a game featuring Alice as the playable character.

Relationships

Feiya and Alice are task partners and good friends, and their relationship is close and harmonious. Feiya writes drivers for Alice to integrate all kinds of devices into her body for testing (messing around), while also teaching her basic programming.

Whatever happened to that little Indian girl you drew? Wasn’t she going to be Alice’s “ground programmer”, or is this her but with a name change?

    1. Veda’s role as Alice’s mission partner has been taken over by Feiya, while her design largely adopted by Zhuoma, the class president. Similarly, Hikari has been replaced by Qiuye in Spirit Animals in Disguise.

Veda and Hikari are foreign kids, which are uncommon in China. Given the geopolitical complexities of today’s world, I feel unqualified to portray citizens from other countries due to my limited understanding. Therefore, I’ve decided to keep all major characters Chinese for now.

Perhaps when Alice visits India, she will encounter Veda for another story.
