The Evernight Era is a future period dominated by the Robot Civilization. Earth in this era has turned into a snowball due to the sun’s disappearance, severely impacting the civilization’s society and technological capacity. The remaining robots have retreated to the last underground sanctuary and other ruins for survival. In the year 246 of the Evernight Era, Alice was awakened by Cloud the Robot Rabbit, beginning her new journey in this era.

Blank Period
There is an unknown blank period between the Evernight Era and the Sunset Era, the last period of human civilization. The robots are uncertain which year in the old Common Era calendar corresponds to the first year of the Evernight Era.
Endless Night and Snowfield
The sun in the Evernight Era vanished for unknown reasons, causing Earth‘s atmosphere to cool and transform into a massive “snowball.” The relics of the Sunset Era were buried about 10 meters (33 feet) deep under the endless snowfield.
Deteriorating Robot Society
The last human had long since passed away, leaving behind robots to inherit the remnants of a fractured civilization. These robots gathered within Geocity – the final functioning underground sanctuary – and other relics for survival.
The Robot Civilization‘s industrial system is incomplete, particularly in the production of heavy and specialized equipment. Its self-renewal and disaster-resistance capabilities are severely lacking.
Most robots chose to abandon their physical bodies and uploaded their consciousness into a digital cloud, where they could enjoy “exciting lives” in theme park-like virtual realms. Only a small number of them chose to remain in the physical world, dedicating themselves to maintaining the deteriorating infrastructure and exploring the snowfields for remnants of the old civilization, hoping to save the world from annihilation.
