Daji (full name: Su Daji, Chinese: 苏妲己) was a spirit fox living in the Shang Dynasty. Her human identity was the queen of the last King of Shang (1046 BCE), and she was one of the earliest recorded spirit animals in Chinese history.

Human’s “Records of the Grand Historian” details her many evil deeds, while the “Spirit Animal Chronicles” offers a different perspective. Her story serves as a cautionary tale for later generations of spirit animals about the dangers of excessive involvement in human politics.
