Personality
Lazy and carefree: Zoey is a lazy and carefree person. He always appears jolly and light-hearted, it’s hard to find him take anything seriously.
Deeply concealed: Zoey seldom reveals his true thoughts. Despite frequently criticized for acting childishly, No matter how others criticize him for lacking a care for this world, he always writes it of it with a playful facade.
Go with the flow and leave it to fate: Zoey prefers a laid-back approach rather than confronting tough issues head-on. Regarding the impending crisis of the Robot Civilization, he remains indifferent, believing that “fate” will guide the robots to their rightful place, and it is beyond anyone’s control.
Specialties
Talented visual designer: Zoey is a renowned visual designer specializing in symbolic and decorative elements inspired by Sunset Era costume designs. He creates high-class visuals tailored to consumer tastes. Every robot Alice encounters in the Evernight Era either features Zoey’s designs or shows clear influence from his style.
Although Zoey primarily works for clients, he possesses highly refined taste and strong design skills. When inspired, he can freely express his ideas through his private works.
Broad network of contacts: Zoey’s popular designs led to his recruitment by the Robot Engineers Association, despite not being an engineer. Through various design projects, he connected with a diverse range of clients, from influential figures to everyday people, establishing a broad network of contacts.
Accurate observations on people: Zoey has gained extensive experience in dealing with his clients. His observations about one’s nature are remarkably accurate. He recognized earlier than others that Alice is Aizu herself, not just someone honoring Aizu by sharing the name.
A constant drag to his team: Zoey knows little beyond styling design and lacks the motivation to learn through hard work. His half-hearted attitude often drags the team down in action.
Life
Tourist of Snowfield Expedition Teams: Zoey is currently participating in the Snowfield Expedition Teams as a tourist. He told the Robot Engineers Association that he decided to go on a journey to escape boredom from life in Geocity and the Virtual Universe, seeking new inspirations.
Although Zoey joined the Expedition Team, he had no intention of helping the team’s tasks. Instead, he spends his time live-streaming his travels and making unreasonable demands. In fact, due to his poor real-world adaptabilities – so bad that Lucia remarked he “can’t even walk straight” – his help would likely create more troubles for everyone.
Cultural Research of the Sunset Era: Zoey is passionate about the cultural aspects of the Sunset Era, particularly its aesthetics. He has created many classic designs for the Aizu mythology figures. Additionally, he studies relics excavated by Expedition Teams to further improve his theories.
When Cloud discovered Alice, a robot actually from the Sunset Era, she looks nothing like his imagination. Zoey somehow felt happy to be proven wrong, and began to explore a new design style based on Alice’s designs.
Public figure: As a renowned style designer, Zoey has provided a variety of customizable design elements and presets for the robots’ styling library. He is a popular figure in Geocity and the Virtual Universe society. After joining the Snowfield Expedition Teams, he began live-streaming his snowfield “adventures,” attracting many viewers everday.
Relationships
Tonyn the Robot Rat, Zoey’s colleague and close friend: Zoey and Tonyn the Robot Rat are both members of the Robot Engineers Association and good friends. They have collaborated for a long time before joining the association. As an experienced mechanical engineer, Tonyn can turn Zoey’s tricky designs into reality. While they appreciate each other’s skills, their life philosophies differ greatly.
Out of boredom, Zoey often disturbs Tonyn while he works. Sometimes Tonyn scolds and drives him out of his working radius for being so annoying. Tonyn recognizes that beneath Zoey’s light-hearted demeanor lies deeper thoughts; instead of exposing him, he chooses to support him in his acting.
Cloud, Zoey’s styling design client: Cloud the Robot Rabbit once won a major match in the Virtual Universe, earning the chance for Zoey to design his avatar. However, he disliked Zoey’s overly decorative style and passed the opportunity to the runner-up, which created a one-sided “grudge” from Zoey. When Zoey learned that Cloud was going to compete in a real world challenge, he offered Cloud a new, specially designed body engineered by Tonyn to incentivize Cloud to use his styling design.
Alice, whom Zoey believes to be Aizu herself: Zoey keenly recognized Alice to be Aizu herself from the very first time they met. When Tonyn was repairing and upgrading Alice’s robotic body, Zoey designed a new look for the new body while retaining the charm of the old one. Alice was very much delighted by the result.
Zoey feels that there must be some kind of fate that connects Alice to the robots in the Evernight Era. Curious about the changes she could bring to Robot Civilization, he pays close attention to Alice’s activities, leverages his connections to assist her in her journey,
Members of the Snowfield Expedition Teams: Zoey is not very helpful with the Expedition Teams‘ daily tasks and often causes trouble, leading to complaints from other members, especially Lucia the Robot Snake. She half-jokingly expresses a desire to “run him over with her tracks under the heaviest payload.”
However, Zoey is quite good at livening up the atmosphere, provides appealing styling designs for the team, and leverages his influence to secure additional resources from Geocity. As a result, everyone tolerates his behavior.
Common citizens: A lot of robots have adopted Zoey’s styling designs to some extent. Additionally, his so-called “Snowfield Adventure” live-stream has gained a cult-following with considerable popularity, making him a somewhat influential figure in the Virtual Universe.
