Bailian (fullname: Guan Bailian, Chinese: 关白莲 “white lotus”) is a volunteer doctor working for the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (Red Cross). She guides Alice during her humanitarian aid missions in the Sunset Era. Optimistic and strong-willed, she is an expert in medicine, people usually call her “Doctor Guan”.

Alice occasionally sees Bailian as a white mouse, but as soon as she closes her eyes for a few seconds or opens or closes the door, Bailian will return to his normal human form. She believes this is a glitch in her visual system. As a result, Bailian is typically depicted as a black rat in Aizu worship among the Evernight Era robots.
